Take our 19 day fully guided tour and explore all the North Island of New Zealand has to offer. We are the only motorbike tour company who will give you such a comprehensive North Island experience with the bonus of a brief stay on the South Island to provide you with the opportunity to explore the “Top of the South”.

Our back-up vehicle with tour guide will take your luggage from location to location so you don’t have the inconvenience of carrying all your luggage on your motorbike. In case your partner would like to join the tour but not on the back of a motorcycle, our back-up vehicle will be able to take passengers.

We prefer to keep our groups small with no more than 15 riders to guarantee you our personal service.

We overnight in mostly 4-5 star luxury accommodation and where possible we select ones with full cooking facilities so that you can prepare your own dinner or breakfast if you wish. Most also have a lounge for evening socialising.

In our 19 day tour we have scheduled several Ride or Relax days so you can explore an area on your motorbike if you wish, or pursue your own interests, like playing a game of golf or maybe go fishing. The North Island can also offer you all the thrills that you can imagine: Jet boating, skydiving or bungee jumping are just a few. Talk to your tour guide who will provide you with all the information and advice you require.

19 Day North Island Tour - Approximately 4000 km's

Day 1

Arrival in Auckland, New Zealand, transfer to hotel, rest day, evening welcome dinner

Day 2

Ride to the Bay of Islands in the Far North

Day 3

Ride or Relax Day in the Bay of Islands. You can opt for Big Game fishing, visit one of the many islands or make a trip to Cape Reinga

Day 4

Back down south via the West Coast

Day 5

To Waitomo over the back roads, with a stop in surf paradise Raglan

Day 6

Visit to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves, then on to Rotorua

Day 7

Explore Rotorua, famous for its Maori Culture and Thermal Areas. Late in the afternoon ride to Taupo

Day 8

Ride or Relax Day in Taupo, “Adventure Capital of the North”. Take a trip around the Great Lake

Day 9

Ride from Taupo over the infamous Desert Road to Ohakune. We suggest you make a day trip to Mt Ruapehu, the highest and most active volcano in the Tongariro National Park

Day 10

A long ride to Wellington, after which you can relax on the ferry to Picton in the South Island

Day 11

Ride to Kaikoura for a Whale watching tour or explore the top of the South Island

Day 12

Take the ferry back to Wellington. Then ride to Martinborough with an optional detour to Cape Palliser

Day 13

A trip to Napier through the Ruahine Ranges, partially over unsealed roads

Day 14

Ride or Relax Day in Napier, Art Deco town. We recommend a tour to the Gannets colony

Day 15

Over the coastal road to Gisborne, followed by a windy road to Mount Maunganui

Day 16

Off to Whitianga, with an optional stop in Waihi for a tour to an open goldmine

Day 17

Ride or Relax Day. Discover the Coromandel Peninsula

Day 18

Back to Auckland. Farewell evening dinner

Day 19

Transfer to the airport and flight home

Prices based on Twin share. Surcharge Single room: NZ$1,500.
In case of an accident or damage to the rental bike, you will be liable for the first NZ$1,500 (plus Credit Card charges), which covers our Insurance Excess.

Each tour requires a minimum of 8 bookings (riders and/or passengers) for it to proceed.
